Microphone in The Running Man (1987)

In the 1987 film THE RUNNING MAN, whenever the host Damon is in studio presenting the #1 show in the whole world, he is handholding a mic. That microphone is the SENNHEISER MD431. There are vintage offerings of this mic which range from $200 - $350 (and this is the one that is in the film).

This microphone has a super cardioid polar pattern and apparently utilized the same capsule as the original Sennheiser 441. The version 2 that is currently available apparently offers a smoother frequency response.

Sennheiser did release an MD431-II (https://en-us.sennheiser.com/vocal-microphone-speech-broadcast-mic-md-431) which goes for $500.
